I’ve spent more than 10 years working in mature and nascent small businesses on almost every rung of the the business hierarchy. I’ve helped build companies from scratch, organize failing internal systems, and improve and update business models.
I also have a unique understanding of the podcasting industry and can guide your budding podcast in the right direction, editorially or business-related.
Mixed Podcast
In a coffee shop in downtown Oakland, Food Writer Leena Trevedi-Grenier asked me “I want to start a podcast about people and color and food, how do I do that?” From there I helped her and her co-host Urmila Ramakrishnan build an entire podcast season from scratch. We built everything from the ground up with no external funding. I instructed them on recording techniques, scripting, logistics, business and marketing connections, and RSS feeds while also producing 3 of the 6 episodes of their first season.
Sunrise fish company
Executed business infrastructure for local organic line-caught fishing company. Helped created business plan/model, achieve groundwork small business permits and licenses, and organized cash flow structures.
Comic city podcast
Wrote reviews and edited articles. Consulted hosts on content and infrastructure.
